My Work

I enjoy simplifying technical concepts for others. This inspired my first website, applysocialstats.com.

With a Master of Science in Social Statistics from the University of Nairobi and more than 5 years of open-source and corporate experience in performance management, quality, data science and econometrics, I have developed a strong foundation in both technical skill and practical business insight. In the past, I conducted econometric research on Kenya’s informal sector for my thesis. I also completed a Machine Learning Teaching Fellowship, which has grown my ability to communicate concepts like Natural Language Processing to non-technical audiences.

At DHL Supply Chain, I lead Performance Management function for East Africa and the Quality function for Kenya. Here I improve data quality, support internal, legal/regulatory and customer requirement compliance and help teams identify risks and opportunities early and address them. I also standardize reporting and improve KPI monitoring; this ensures that decisions are backed by accurate and reliable information. My focus is to deliver solutions that are useful, scalable and aligned with business goals.

Beyond technical delivery, I value empathy, teamwork and communication. Whether the challenge is compliance, quality assurance, process improvement or sustainable growth, I use data to help organizations become more competitive and resilient.
